If you ever find yourself in Antigua, Guatemala, you must check out the artisan market  on the arch street. At first glance, it appears as an overcrowded tourist trap filled with chachkies and tacky souvenirs, however there are so many treasures to be uncovered.

I typically go to the market to find inspiration for new pieces and ideas to add to our boot & accessory collection.  I search through the bins full of used 'fajas' (traditional Mayan belts).  There are all sorts of patterns and designs, colors and sizes of these handwoven bands that I can use for headbands, boot straps, bracelets and so much more.  I found the material for both the Patzún and Tribal headbands in one of these bins.  Below are some of our current and future creations found through my most recent market excursion…
